We made it to Bali! We've been here for about a week and are still alive :) The Balinese people are awesome, super super nice with the biggest smiles i have ever seen in my life. So here's a few things from our trip so far....
-bargaining 4 EVERYTHING
-motorbikes everywhere
-super cheap food and boooze
-running here is a little harder when there are no sidewalks, motorbikes in ur face, cows on the road, wild dogs everywhere, and rottweilers almost attacking you.
-hitchhiked -but dont worry we're still here
-getting a pedicure from 2 girls off the street and having them take us up 2 their apartment? -amazing and only $3
-having ladies follow us throughout a market for about an hour just to get us to go to their stall. it didnt work. but instead we asked them questions about everything. i think they enjoyed it?
-people getting so excited when they see us coming up to their restaurant, they literally SPRINT to go and get us a menu to look at
-needing a policeman to help us cross the street in Denpasar. If it wasn't for him, we'd still b there
-seeing a Kecak/Fire dance
-Crazy monkeys at UluWatu that jump on you and steal hats, earrings, juice, sandals..whatever. lets just say i wasnt a fan of them and either was the lady that was watching her earrings get eaten. yum
-rented a motorbike for the first time on Nusa Lembongan and can now understand why that is one of the #1 causes for accidents. Let's just say we had a few close calls. And maybe more while I was driving? Klemm seemed to be an expert after like 2 seconds
so thats it for now, just got to Ubud where Eat, Love, Pray was filmed and so far this place rocks. Laaaaaaaater!
